The Faculty of Applied Sciences collaborates with BCE Biotechnology Company to organize a seminar on “Introduction to Oxford Nanopore Technologies Sequencing and Its Applications”

As science and technology continue to advance, particularly with DNA sequencing now entering its third generation, the seminar on "Oxford Nanopore Technologies Sequencing" at Ton Duc Thang University has garnered significant interest from students and faculty members. The event took place on March 18, 2025, organized by the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Ton Duc Thang University in collaboration with BCE Biotechnology Company, one of the leading biotechnology enterprises in Vietnam.
The seminar served not only as a platform for knowledge and experience exchange among experts but also as an opportunity for students to engage with new concepts and cutting-edge technologies in DNA sequencing. The topics discussed during the seminar included the evolution of DNA sequencing technologies, the advantages and limitations of different sequencing methods, and best practices in DNA sequencing procedures.
With the active participation of over 60 students and faculty members, the seminar became a memorable milestone in raising awareness about DNA sequencing at Ton Duc Thang University. In particular, the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical applications provided attendees with a comprehensive and concrete understanding of the challenges and solutions in DNA sequencing.
