Introduces trainees to the current status and development trends of aquaculture in the tropical region with an emphasis on the case of Vietnamese aquaculture

- General introduction to aquaculture development in Vietnam
- Freshwater fish culture in Vietnam
- Giant freshwater prawn culture in Vietnam
- Shrimp culture in Vietnam
- Mud crab culture in Vietnam
- Marine finish cage culture in Vietnam
- Mollusk culture in Vietnam
Field trips: visits to freshwater fish and freshwater prawn farms and hatcheries, shrimp farms and hatcheries, crab farms, white clam farms, and the model of marine finish cage culture in Vung Tau City, Nha Trang City and Mekong Delta.
