About Us
Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS), Ton Duc Thang University was established in 2001, initially with undergraduate program in Chemical Engineering.
In 2004, undergraduate program in Biotechnology was then established as the second education program in the Faculty. Furthermore, in 2008, FAS was one of the first two faculties in TDTU starting graduate program in Chemical Engineering.
All education programs in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from undergraduate and graduate level have been standardized according to the programs of the world's TOP 100 universities and continuously improved to catch up with the development of science, technology in the world as well as the requirement of society together with high – quality, well - experienced lecturers, and researchers having advanced teaching method and research skills.
The constructed programs include:
- Generic knowledge including general natural sciences, politics, informatics, foreign language (English), physical training and soft skills (communication, teamwork, independent working, writing and presentation skills, personality and attitude education;
- Specific knowledge including fundamental knowledge, laboratory skills, professional skills in technology, scientific research, equipment and planning projects.
Besides, internships and exchange programs, extracurricular activities and students’ scientific research are also conducted in the education program so that graduates can meet all program outcomes and society’s job requirements.
