About Us

Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS) Ton Duc Thang University was established in 2001, initially training only in Chemistry engineering. In the year of 2004, the department of biotechnology was opened as a part of the Faculty. Since its inception, FAS has had a strong staff-board, asserting its position in training institutions in Chemical engineering and Biotechnology. FAS now has a 62 lecturers, researchers and professors including 08 professors, 02 assistant professors, 25 doctors, 10 doctoral students and 17 masters. In 2008, FAS was one of the first two faculties to start postgraduate training.

All education programmes in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology from undergraduate and graduate level have been standardized according to the programs of the world's TOP 100 universities and advanced in training, together with proper methods and practical experiments. Students are trained not only with deep professional knowledge, but also with proper laboratory skills, practical knowledge from meetings, internships or exchanges with businesses in production facilities.
